Abstract
The article proposes the models and analytical dependences for assessing the impact interactions of the surface layers of the material of the ridges of tyres with the rail parts in curved track sections and turnouts on curved surfaces of contact, which, in turn, create the conditions for the destruction of the wheel surface effected by tensions.
