UPGRADED DEVICE FOR SORTING SEEDS OF LEGUMINOUS CROPS

Abstract

The article provides information on the results of the development of devices and operating principles, as well as general form of a mock-up sample, an upgraded electric sorting device for sorting seeds of leguminous crops. The working body of the modernized electric sorting device is made of a polyethylene pipe; the grooves are cut on its surface in the form of a two-way screw with a depression angle “γ” and width “t”. Electrodes with a large diameter d1 and grounded with a smaller diameter d₂ are wound on the grooves. Positive results have been obtained in the preliminary experimental studies on sorting the leguminous crops seeds in proposed device. The upgraded electric sorting device can be used in technological lines for preparation the leguminous crops sowing seeds, as well as in private and farming sectors.
