CALCULATION THE OPTIMAL VULCANIZATION TIME FOR MULTILAYER POLYMER PRODUCTS IN MANUFACTURE OF ELASTOMER COMPOSITES
Abstract
The article discusses a system approach to the mathematical description of the production process of complex and multi-stage elastomer composites. This approach assumes concentration changes in chemical reactions. Based on the chemical reaction occurring in the process of vulcanization, a kinetic scheme for the production of elastomer composites is being proposed. This scheme serves as a basis for determining the functional relationships prerequisite for the mathematical description of vulcanization, which is the main indicator of the process quality.
Mathematical expressions help to scrutinize the vulcanization process in each layer of the product, with account of the temperature distribution in different layers.
Introduction of more reactions into the proposed kinetic scheme is recommended to clarify the scheme of chemical changes. Mathematical expressions based on stoichiometric ratios and reversibility coefficients of chemical reactions have been developed. This systematic approach is proposed as a program to facilitate the creation of a control system based on the quality indicators of chemical processes.
This also serves to justify the effectiveness of the program developed for the prompt control of reversible chemical processes
