WAYS OF IMPROVING THE EFFICIENCY OF THE SEPARATION PROCESS IN TRANSPORTATION OF COTTON
Abstract
The article covers the research aimed at developing a rational design of separator equipment used in transportation of cotton by air. The main objective of the research is to preserve the original quality indicators of cotton produce, prevent the emission of loose fibers and dust into the air, and improve the cleaning efficiency. The existing designs of separator equipment are analyzed and their shortcomings are identified. To eliminate these shortcomings, a new, improved design is being proposed. The new design was made using the SolidWorks program, and its parameters were checked for correctness. A prototype of the developed device was manufactured and tested under experimental conditions. The test results showed that the new separator equipment significantly increases efficiency of transportation of cotton raw materials. In addition, it was found that this device effectively prevents dust emissions and loosefibers into the atmosphere. These studies are aimed at improving the processes of cleaning and transportation of cotton and are of great scientific and practical importance.
