Abstract
The article provides the results and conclusions on the study of the history of development of agriculture on the territory of modern Uzbekistan. In particular, thanks to excavations in the Sapallitepa settlement, traces of silk, remains of silkworm caterpillars, seeds of cotton and other crops were found. It was concluded that from the II millennium BC. silk was produced and cotton was grown in Uzbekistan; there was also gardening and irrigated agriculture in the form of cultivation of grain crops.
