NEW DOMESTIC DEVICE FOR HAIR TRANSPLANTATION
Abstract
A domestic device designed for the implementation of the hair follicle transplantation procedure was studied for the first time in order to assess the suitability of extractable hair follicles of the donor zone for transplantation to the recipient site. Investigations of a device for hair follicle transplantation were carried out on 6 white, adult, outbred rats of the first year of life, weighing 200.5 ± 2.72 g. The method of visual assessment and microscopy was used in order to develop a method for collecting hair follicles and to determine their quality and suitability for transplantation. As a result of preclinical studies, it can be concluded, that the device allows the collection of hair grafts, the quality of which is rated as suitable for transplantation. The device is described by the simplicity of design and operation and high performance. The developed device is convenient to use and conduct operations to collect hair follicles. Preliminary results of experimental studies have shown that the design of the device also allows the transplantation of extractable hair grafts of the donor zone to the recipient site.
