Abstract

The article presents the results of research conducted to identify the causes of crushed and surface-spotted cocoons. Getting high-quality cocoons and raw silk is much dependent on the primary processing of cocoons. Therefore, on the basis of the primary processing of cocoons under production conditions, experimental studies have been carried out to determine the occurrence of crushed and surface-spotted cocoons at each stage of their primary processing. The recommendations given in the work can be applied on the basis of the primary processing of cocoons, as well as in farms engaged in the procurement and primary processing of cocoons. These results will allow obtaining cocoons with good technological parameters and high-quality raw silk, contributing to the increase of the economic potential of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
