THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE AUTONOMOUS DIGITAL SEISMIC STATION

FULL TEXT:

Abstract

The article is based on the results of scientific research on the creation of a 3-channel autonomous digital seismic station. The station is launched using a GPS navigator, recording seismic signals in an open channel, with different amplification, with a sampling step of 8 to 50 milliseconds, continuous recording for 20 days or more. The paper develops the technical characteristics of ATSSS, creates the block diagrams and shows the algorithms of its performance. A sample of the seismic station has been elaborated, which shows the problems to be solved by the areas in which the station can be applied. The small size and weight of the seismic station reduce logistics (field work) costs, i.e., field work is several times cheaper, and a sufficiently large memory capacity, ease of use and excellent quality of digital recording of seismic events create conditions for large-scale use of the station.
