DETERMINATION OF TECHNOLOGICAL PROCESS PARAMETERS AFFECTING THE QUALITY OF PRINTED PRODUCTS ON LOW DENSITY PAPER

FULL TEXT:

Abstract

In printing of periodicals and book publications, the use of low-density offset paper complicates sustainability of quality across the entire batch due to uneven feeding of sheets by the press feeder, which is explained by the structure of the paper.
Therefore, for low-density paper, it is important to closely analyze the dynamics of the printing process and develop printing methods to ensure print quality. The article reviews a method of optimizing the technological process by changing regulated parameters of th e pneumatic feeder for low-density paper in the paper feeding system of sheet-fed offset printing presses. The purpose of this is to substantiate parameters of the offset printing process in view to ensure sustainable quality of the product on low-density paper. In this regard, special attention is being paid to calculating the design-technological parameters of printing equipment, determining the conditions for sheet separation and feeding, improving the eficiency and reducing of product costs, fully satisfying societal needs, creating energy-resource-saving technologies, and determining optimal parameters of the printing process. In our republic, comprehensive measures are taken to widely apply advanced printing methods in the manufacture of printed products, rationalize parameters of the offset printing process for low-density paper, and make import-substituting produce, achieving certain results.
