ASSESSMENT OF PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION PROVISION AND POPULATION MOBILITY IN THE REGIONS
Abstract
Scientists have linked the assessment of the level of supply of population with transport with various parameters, and such indicators as population, density of he area, road and route networks, levels of employment and numbers of transported passengers have been considered in calculation methods. The article reviews methods for determining the level of transport coverage and supply of population, including reporting and statistical method, methods determining the correlation with employment status of citizens, city area and population size. Moreover, existing problems in determining the levels of coverage with - and mobility of the population by means of public transport in the regions have been investigated, and analyzes – made to improve methods for determining the coverage and supply of transport at the regional level in the context of Uzbekistan. Recommendations have been developed to increase accuracy of assessment of the level of transport supply. The level of provision of the public transport to population in city centers and regions was assessed using statistical indicators, and recommendations were made for the areas with low levels of supply
