HYDRAULIC AND HYDROLOGICAL MODELING OF METEOROLOGICAL PARAMETERS OF FLOW FORMATION AT SOURCE IN IRRIGATION SYSTEMS USING THE HBV-LIGHT MODEL

FULL TEXT:

Abstract

Computer technologies and programs for modeling have not bypassed the field of water management. Among them, the HBV (Hydrologiska Byrans Vattenavdelning)-light model program is one of the models currently applied worldwide in the field of hydraulics and hydrology. This article reveals evaluation of the role and impact of natural conditions (temperature, wind, soil) on flow generation using the HBV-light model program. Applying of meteorological data retrieved from April 26, 2021 to September 21, 2023 in the Jizzakh region in the program enabled evaluating the impact on stream formation. Average, maximum and minimum temperatures, air humidity, wind speed, evapotranspiration, solar radiation, and daily changes of precipitation over 3 years- period were retrieved from the meteorological data. As a result, the amount of water increased as the average temperature rose, and decreased when the air temperature fell down, and the effect of precipitation diminished when the temperature went up and then increased with rising temperature. The soil structure also affected the flow formation, that is, the structure of soil, its mechanical composition, according to the nature of water collection; while the amount of water collected in the soil increases, consumption of the flow decreases, and when the former decreases, it shows that the latter increases. Moreover, taking into account the direct relation of evaporation to temperatures in the formation of flow, the graphs showed that when evaporation is high, the flow is up, too; and when it is low, the flow is also minimal. Another parameter that can be seen is groundwater, where flow has been shown to have the right proportion with groundwater, as well. The impact of the above parameters on the flow generation has been proven to be significant.
