INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES IN DIGITALIZATION OF WATER ACCOUNTING AT HYDRAULIC INSTALLATIONS

Abstract

Accurate calculation of water consumption and timely supply of right amounts of water to consumers have become urgent nowadays. Currently, there is an increasing need for innovative digitalization technologies for effective use of hydraulic facilities. As well as, there are various devices for digitalization of water metering, and when using them, among energy, economic and technological tasks, hydraulic aspects also require attention. It is known that various gate valves are widely used in hydraulic structures to generate and regulate a water flow. From a hydraulic point of view, passage of water through gates in structures is a very complex process, therefore the role of multifunctional devices controlling and measuring water levels is important. The purpose of this article is to discuss digitalization of readings of the water flowing through hydraulic structures. A hydraulic model for digitalization of water metering has been developed, taking into account processes ongoing both – in the upper and lower baffles when determining the flow of water passing under the gates of hydraulic structures. A calculation method is recommended for determining changes in water levels in the upper and lower banks of hydraulic structure gates depending on the elevation of a vertically moving flat hydraulic gate. A block diagram of a control system for monitoring and measuring the levels and flows of water in the gates of hydraulic structures, has been developed.
