CONSTRUCTION OF A REGRESSION MODEL FOR INCREASING LEG ABDUCTION WIDTH IN THE DESIGN OF CHILDREN’S ORTHOPEDIC ADAPTIVE CLOTHING

FULL TEXT:

Abstract

The article explores the aspects of enhancing the therapeutic effect in
the design of children’s orthopedic adaptive clothing. The study addresses the
construction of mathematical models to examine the leg abduction width, which
ensures effective treatment of hip joint dysplasia in children under one year of age.
The leg abduction width was investigated as the output parameter depending on
the inаluencing input parameters: the child’s age, the leg abduction angle, and the
wearing duration of the garment. The adequacy of the model was verfied based
on the relationship between the child’s age and the period of use of orthopedic
clothing, between the leg abduction angle and the wearing duration, as well as
between the monthly age of the child and the leg abduction angle. The analysis
of isolines in coded graphs showed that in children of different ages undergoing
treatment for dysplasia, the leg abduction angle gradually changes depending on
the duration of wearing orthopedic adaptive clothing. These changes correspond to
the coded values as an indicator of the normal adaptation process.
